This knife was made at the same time as Hawthorne, in the winter of 1994/95 (I forget, was that my discontent or was that winter another year?). The blade is also from Atlanta Cutlery, and came with the black finish on it. The designs on the blade were prompted by the (accidental) discovery that flux would remove this finish... the handle is ebony. This blade was tailored to the desires of the purchaser without having a direct design to work off of, as I had for the commission for the Baku knife (1998). In this case, as I was going out with the person at the time, she expected me to know what she would like, and I think I did well enough. << Back |
